Weeee doggies. Heres an interesting review of Slick 57s Ghost of Bonnie Parker. The guy seems impressed on by Scottish Hillbilly style. Well…I dunno if thats what it is…I just kinda do what I do. Fun article. Izzy Stradlin stopped by the studio while I was recording it. He can it a thumbs up. Then we made hit shotgun a beer while chanting “Izzy…Izzy…Izzy”. Really….it happen…ask Ward.

I borrowed Suzannes taped episodes of the Osbournes. Ok, Im bigger fan of Pop culture than anyone, but I never really saw this show until now. I dont really watch too much TV and my approach to Pop culture is to observe things a few months after the hype. Lets face it, after a year, even the biggest show, concept, fashion, movie or song can be distilled into a handful of soundbites, icons and cliches. Why do you thing Madonna has to try so hard to reinvent herself? Its the churning of dumbness that most people pay money for. Ill let all those sheep watch hours upon hours of Survior so that, in the end, I can use the phase “voted off the Island” and still be in on the joke.

SO….where was I…Oh…the show. You know, I got really depressed watching it. I mean, I was crushed. He is really messed up. Its like he is 80 and with altzhiemers or something. There is one scene in the first episode where he is on the couch talking to one of his spawn…I dont remember. But his i like a ghost. Plus with his shirt off and stomach all hanging out. Its Ozzy…all the tatoos are in the right spots…but what the hell.

I originally was gonna have a movie night out of the tape with my friend Angie. She is a hard core rock fan (she took me to see Static-x once). I dunno if I can watch it all unless she constantly assures me that rock and roll will never die and that indeed, he is still the prince of evil.

ah..ok…that worked.

Anyway….the older fella on the far upper left is Fiddling Floyd. He is the guy that Steve Schaff and I named our band after. Also in the picture is Byron Berline, Allison Krauss, Gabe Witcher and Nickle Creek.
Oh…this was like 1987ish.
