Frequency divider using flip flops
I did a quick breadboard build of a section of the Blacet Frequency divider. Mostly I was curious how you go about dividing by 1.5. It was pretty simple to wire up.

Forrest Mims has a good subcircuit too.
I just wired up the Flipflop section and used a 40106 as a signal source. The actual circuit uses a comparator and schmitt trigger to square things up.
Here is a quick sample. The initial frequency is an F and the divide by 1.5 is a fifth below which is an A.
